This classic fingering weight stockinette raglan was first inspired by my love for the Coraline film and her sparkly blue sweater. Featuring a ribbed mockneck and hems with a tubular/sewn bind off, this one is sure to become a favorite for many years to come. Never knit a raglan before? Or a sweater? Don't let that scare you off! Now is a great time to learn. I've tried to break everything down from set up to bind off for more beginner levels, while including a few new techniques that I think even some more experienced knitters can learn from (or at least I hope!). And if you need help, I'm just an email away. I had such an incredible time designing and working up my own, and I sincerely hope you will too!

Notes on sizing:

This pattern is written for 9 sizes, ranging from 33-64 in/84-162.5 cm finished bust. It is recommended to choose a size that gives 0-6 in/0-15 cm positive ease at the fullest part of the bust. Sample size 2 shown on model with 5 in/12.5 cm positive ease. This sweater is designed to have a slightly cropped fit, but is very easily customizable to fit your body and preference! Schematic and more sizing information included in the pattern.

Pattern gauge:

4”/10 cm = 30 sts/38 rows (worked flat)
4"/10 cm = 27 sts/39 rows (in the round)
Taken in stockinette st using US size 2 needles

All measurements are approximate and taken after blocking. Inches are rounded to the nearest 0.25 in and centimeters to the nearest 0.5 cm.

Sample made using Anzula Luxury Fibers Storm on Nebula (86% Superwash Merino, 14% Stellina). Feel free to substitute your favorite fingering weight yarn, but always be sure to check your gauge. Use one solid color, speckled, color block, or even fade - whatever your heart desires! I cannot wait to see what colors you use.
